Omaha Hold’em Online...

Although lesser known than some of the popular poker games, playing Omaha Hold’em online can be every bit as much fun.  In fact, getting a seat on a busy Friday evening at a table of Omaha Hold’em online can be far easier than finding one at a table for the current trendy games.  Once you sit down though the pots, the pleasure will be every bit as good as those you might find at other tables.

Before the first card is dealt the two players to the left of the dealer or dealer button will have to pony up the small and large blinds; the actual play of Omaha Hold’em online begins when four hole cards are dealt.  Now it is time to place bets before three cards are dealt face up in the center of the table (as in other poker games these community cards are called the flop).  Another round of betting takes place and then the fourth community card (the turn card) is put on the table.  More bets and then the fifth and final community card (the river card) is dealt.  Another round of betting occurs and it’s time to award the pot based on the best five-card hand.  In Omaha Hold’em online, the five-card hand must contain two of the player’s hole cards and three community cards.

Like all poker games, the basics of Omaha Hold’em are quickly learned but it will require years of sitting in on games to discover the ins and outs.  So, grab a chair at an Omaha Hold’em online game and get to playing.  It won’t be long before you will be enjoying this form of poker as much or more than its cousins.
